An organization claims to have "the only globally recognized internal audit certification" Well...That's just not true. There are many organizations that offer globally recognized #certifications relevant to #internalaudit.Make me wonder if they are misleading you about that, what else may they be telling you that isn't the whole truth???I've included links in the comments to some other globally recognized internal audit certifications >>>>

The IIA's International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (Standards) outline the principles and requirements that internal auditors should follow to ensure the effectiveness and integrity of their work. These standards include provisions related to independence and objectivity.Independence: The IIA's Standard 1100: Independence and Objectivity states that internal auditors should be independent and free from any impairments to their objectivity. It emphasizes that internal auditors must maintain an impartial and unbiased mindset and should not compromise their judgment or integrity. The standard further explains that independence can be achieved through organizational status, such as reporting directly to the board or an audit committee, having a dual reporting relationship, or having a level of functional independence within the organization.Objectivity: The IIA's Standard 1220: Objectivity states that internal auditors must have an unbiased and impartial mental attitude during the course of their work. It emphasizes the importance of basing audit opinions, conclusions, and recommendations on a thorough and objective evaluation of relevant evidence. The standard also highlights that auditors should avoid conflicts of interest that could compromise their objectivity. It encourages internal auditors to disclose any potential conflicts of interest and refrain from participating in any activities that may impair their objectivity. The IIA's Standards serve as a guide for internal auditors and provide a framework for conducting their work with professionalism, integrity, independence, and objectivity. Adhering to these standards helps internal auditors maintain the credibility and effectiveness of their audit activities. For specific and detailed information regarding internal auditor independence and objectivity, you can refer to the IIA's Standards available on their official website (https://lnkd.in/dpwQunw8).
